Welcome back to the Stamper’s by the Dozen May Blog Hop. This month our theme is Mother & Father’s Day, and was chosen by the lovely Sharleen Luciano. I decided to create a Father’s Day card which I really ended up loving . . . I have also used the opportunity to show off some of the amazing products that will be retiring very soon; the Work of Art stamp set is favourite of mine and will be staying in my permanent collection.
I decided to go for a very abstract approach to this Father’s Day card, and using my Stamparatus I was able to perfectly align the stamps so that the overlapped equally on both side. I also created a second card for my boyfriend Dad.
Card base – Night of Navy – 4 1/8″ x 11 6/8″ (folded on the long side at 5 7/8″)
First Layer – Silver Foil – 4″ x 5 6/8″
Card Front – Shimmery White – 3 7/8″ x 5 5/8″
This card is very simple but the ‘randomness’ of the background really helps in making the ‘Dad’ stand out, obviously the Mini Dimensionals also help 🙂
